Norfolk County is reminding residents that garbage and recycling collection will be affected by the Good Friday holiday.
There will be no collection on Friday, April 3.
Instead, residents who normally have Friday pickup will see their garbage and recycling collected on Saturday, April 4.
The county notes that collection schedules for the following week, beginning Easter Monday (April 6), will remain unchanged.
Residents can expect regular pickup days during that week.
Officials are encouraging residents to plan accordingly and ensure materials are placed curbside on the correct day to avoid missed collection.
To help stay on track, residents can use the Recycle Coach app, which provides personalized collection schedules, reminders, and service updates.
In addition, both the Simcoe and South Walsingham transfer stations will be closed on Good Friday.
Residents are encouraged to check schedules in advance as they make plans for the long weekend.
