The Simcoe Arms Tournament for Breast Cancer kicked off yesterday (Thursday), bringing together hundreds of young athletes and families for four days of hockey action and community support.
Hosted by the Simcoe & District Minor Hockey Association, the tournament features divisions for U9, U11, U13, U15, and U18 LL teams.
On the first day, 24 games were played, including three shootouts, with approximately 800 players participating.
The rinks were awash in pink as the tournament continues its long-standing tradition of raising awareness and funds for breast cancer, formerly known as the Marci Cook Tournament before being renamed this year.
Organizers plan to share additional updates throughout the weekend, including scores, highlights, and community stories.
Families and fans are encouraged to follow along and cheer on the players as the tournament wraps up on Sunday (March 22).
