There are plenty of reasons to celebrate at the Norfolk County Agricultural Society, as two of their signature events have been named among Ontario’s Top 100 festivals — recognition that highlights their impact, creativity, and deep community engagement.
Festivals and Events Ontario gave them the nod with the release of the 2025 Top 100 Festivals & Events in Ontario.
General Manager Angela Hogeveen says they’re proud to see both the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show, and Eat and Drink Norfolk, once again recognized at the provincial level — an achievement they’ve managed to maintain for many years.
While the fair continues to be a juggernaut and a long-standing Norfolk County tradition, Eat and Drink Norfolk is carving out its own path as an essential “Norfolk” event — one that showcases local flavours and helps put the county on the map.
In addition to the Top 100 recognition, the Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show earned an additional award this year.
Hogeveen says she is especially proud of the informative and educational pieces that were highlighted.
She notes that the Society has really begun to showcase all the great work the Agricultural Society does — much of it previously happening behind closed doors.
The Agricultural Society credits its volunteers, staff, sponsors, and community partners for helping make these events such a success.
