The Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s assistance following two recent break-and-enter incidents in Waterford and Simcoe.
Officers first responded Sunday, February 22 at approximately 8:51 a.m. to a property on Highway 24 in Waterford. Police say the investigation determined that sometime between February 18 and February 22, one or more unknown individuals unlawfully entered a greenhouse on the property and stole copper and aluminum valued at approximately $25,000.
A second incident was reported Tuesday, February 24 at approximately 8:55 a.m. at a property on Norfolk County Highway 24 East in Simcoe.
Investigators say that between February 15 and February 24, suspects forced entry into a barn and stole assorted power tools.
Both investigations remain ongoing. Police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist investigators to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
