A search warrant executed in Tillsonburg has resulted in drug trafficking charges against a local resident.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Oxford detachment, along with the Brant and Norfolk Community Street Crimes Unit, assisted in an investigation led by the Oxford OPP CSCU.
On February 18th, at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers executed a warrant at a residence on Venison Street in the Town of Tillsonburg, where one individual was arrested.
Police say the search resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and offence-related property.
As a result of the investigation, 57-year-old Willa Carrier of Tillsonburg has been charged with possession of cocaine, methamphetamine and an opioid for the purpose of trafficking, obstructing a peace officer, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in relation to the charges. None of the allegations have been tested in court.
