The Simcoe Branch of the Norfolk County Public Library is celebrating the success of its recent Big Book Sale, which raised more than $4,400 in support of local youth programming.
Library officials say the funds will directly benefit the Youth Initiatives Program, which provides opportunities for young people across Norfolk County to connect, learn and grow.
Donations are currently supporting the Teen Advisory Group (TAG), youth-focused social programs and new furniture designed to create welcoming, youth-specific spaces within library branches.
The Teen Advisory Group gives local youth a voice in shaping programming and events that reflect their interests and needs.
Additional funding helps expand creative and social opportunities, giving teens safe and inclusive spaces to explore new ideas and build connections within their community.
Library staff say the Youth Initiatives Program relies heavily on community support to continue offering meaningful programming.
Organizers are thanking residents, donors and volunteers who contributed to the Big Book Sale, noting that the success of the event highlights the community’s commitment to investing in young people and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
