A new documentary focused on local conservation will be featured during Conservation Film Night in Norfolk County this month.
A Priority Place | Hope For a Forest takes viewers inside the Long Point Biosphere Region, one of Canada’s most fragile forest ecosystems. The film follows biologists, conservationists, and community stewards as they work to protect species at risk and restore vital habitat.
The documentary explains why the forest is designated a Priority Place, the threats it faces, and the solutions already showing positive results. Through behind-the-scenes footage and personal stories, the film shows that conservation is driven by both science and a deep connection to the land.
The film is produced by WorkCabin Films, known for conservation storytelling across Canada.
Conservation Film Night takes place on February 13 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m at Birds Canada in Port Rowan. A post-screening Q&A will feature director Gregg McLachlan and producer Cynthia Brink.
Tickets are $25, with limited seating available.
