The Norfolk County Public Library’s Waterford Branch will remain closed until Tuesday following water damage caused by a frozen pipe.
Library officials say the damage is minor, but cleanup and mechanical repairs are required before the building can safely reopen.
The closure comes after a period of extreme cold across the region, which led to plumbing issues inside the facility.
Staff are currently working with contractors to address the damage and ensure all systems are functioning properly.
Officials say the closure is necessary to protect both staff and patrons while repairs are completed.
During the temporary shutdown, residents are encouraged to use other Norfolk County Public Library branches, all of which remain open and operating under regular hours.
