Three people are facing charges following two separate intimate partner violence investigations in Norfolk County, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
Police say the first incident occurred on Friday, January 9, 2026, at about 7:34 a.m., when officers responded to a reported dispute at a residence. The investigation determined that two individuals were involved in an altercation inside the home, during which both parties allegedly assaulted one another. One individual also damaged the other’s property. No injuries were reported. Both individuals were taken into custody without incident.
A 36-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged with assault – spousal. A 38-year-old Norfolk County resident is facing charges of assault – spousal and mischief – destroy or damage property. Both are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
A second investigation took place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, around 1:50 p.m. Police responded to another reported dispute at a residence, where one individual allegedly assaulted the other, resulting in minor injuries. A 52-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged with assault causing bodily harm – spousal and will also appear in court at a later date.
