The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching statutory release conditions.
Police are searching for Sima Doban, a 44-year-old Caucasian male described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 205 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Doban is currently serving a sentence of two years and one month.
His convictions include possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, failure to comply with a probation order, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order (two counts), theft under $5,000, and escape or being at large without excuse.
Investigators say Doban is known to frequent the Hamilton and Caledonia areas, though his current whereabouts are unknown.
Police advise members of the public not to approach him if seen.
