The Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre remains closed after a flood in the filtration room caused significant damage to the pool’s water system and boilers.
Norfolk County says staff are actively working to repair or replace the affected equipment to ensure the facility can reopen safely.
At this time, the pool is expected to reopen on Saturday, January 17, pending the completion of repairs and safety inspections.
Customers registered in aquatic programs, including swimming lessons, will be contacted directly with updates regarding scheduling changes or adjusted program durations.
Those with pool rentals during the closure will also be contacted to discuss rescheduling or alternative arrangements.
While the aquatic centre remains closed, all other programming at the Simcoe Recreation Centre is continuing as scheduled.
County officials thank residents for their patience and understanding as work continues to restore full service at the facility.
