Residents looking to get active over the winter months will have plenty of opportunities to lace up their skates, thanks to the Port Dover Lions Club.
The Lions are once again sponsoring free community skating sessions at the Port Dover Arena, running through March 28th.
The free skating program includes a wide variety of sessions designed for all ages and skill levels.
Weekly public skates are held every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., while special skating opportunities are scheduled throughout the holiday season, including Christmas skates, Family Day skates, and March Break skates.
During the Christmas break, residents can take part in public skates, parent-and-tot skates, family stick-and-puck sessions, youth and teen shinny, and parent-and-child hockey skates.
A special free Family Stick & Puck skate is also planned for December 27 at 6:30 p.m.
All free skating sessions take place at the Port Dover Arena, located at 809 St. George Street, and are open to the community.
