Canada Post confirms that children across the country who write letters to Santa Claus will receive a response this holiday season, following disruptions last year caused by a month-long postal strike.
More than 55,000 postal workers were off the job during the 2024 labour dispute, preventing Santa replies at the time, though children were assured their letters were still being read.
According to Canada Post spokesperson, more than one million letters are sent to and from Santa each year, and the beloved tradition continues in full this season.
Letters mailed to the iconic HOH OHO postal code by December 8 are guaranteed delivery, though exact response dates may vary due to seasonal volume.
Canada Post and the union representing its mail carriers reached agreements in principle last month after two years of negotiations, helping ensure uninterrupted holiday service this year.
