Waterford is ready to sparkle this week as Starlight Shopping returns to downtown for two festive nights.
It runs tonight and tomorrow from 5 to 8 p.m.
Local businesses will stay open late, offering shoppers the chance to find unique gifts in a cozy, small-town Christmas atmosphere.
Families can enjoy free visits with Santa at Kerry’s St. James Eatery, while kids can sip hot chocolate, munch on popcorn, and enjoy seasonal treats.
The downtown parkette is now home to a shining Christmas tree, generously donated by Kooi Trucking and installed by the Waterford Lions, marking the official start of holiday festivities.
During the event, organizers will be accepting toy donations for the annual Toy Drive and food donations for the local Food Bank.
Starlight Shopping serves as the kickoff to a busy holiday season, which also includes Breakfast with Santa on December 6, free skating on December 6 and 13, and the Waterford Santa Claus Parade on December 13.
Community organizers encourage residents and visitors alike to come together and celebrate the season in Waterford.
