The Rotary Club of Simcoe and the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation are celebrating their shared 100th anniversaries with a major community fundraiser designed to improve patient comfort and safety. Together, they have launched a matching campaign to raise $100,000 for new hospital beds.
The Rotary Club will match every community donation up to $50,000, doubling the impact of each gift. And the campaign is already seeing strong support. As of Monday, November 24, the fundraiser has reached $36,400 — a jump from $29,400 just three days earlier.
That leaves only $13,600 needed to unlock the full Rotary match. Once the community raises $50,000, Rotary will contribute its own $50,000, bringing the total to $100,000.
Interim Foundation Executive Director Sarah Muntz-Flowerday say the funds will support their holiday campaign, aimed at replacing as many of Norfolk General Hospital’s 125 aging beds as possible. The upgrades will help ensure safer, more comfortable care for local patients for years to come.
Donations can be made through the NGH Foundation’s website.
