A neighbour dispute in Dunnville escalated into violence Wednesday afternoon, resulting in one person being charged.
Haldimand County OPP responded to a disturbance call around 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 19 and determined that a verbal argument between two individuals had turned into a physical altercation.
One person suffered minor injuries, and police confirmed the involved parties were known to one another.
A 56-year-old from Dunnville has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in court in Cayuga at a later date.
Police are reminding residents that help is available for anyone experiencing violence or unsafe situations.
