A late-night traffic complaint in Oxford County escalated into multiple charges after a driver allegedly fled from police.
Officers from the Oxford County OPP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday near Highway 59 and Potters Road in Norwich Township.
When officers attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle reportedly failed to stop and fled the scene, prompting an expanded search.
Police later located the suspect at a business in Norwich.
The 24-year-old from Cambridge is now faces charges including Flight from Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation, and Operation While Impaired – Blood Drug Concentration.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the accused received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension.
