Simcoe’s most unconventional holiday tradition is back this weekend as the Witches’ Yuletide Market returns — and yes, Krampus is coming to town.
Hosted by Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage, the market will transform the Junior Farmers’ Building into a vibrant mix of folklore, witchcraft, handmade artistry, and alternative holiday spirit on Saturday, November 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organizers Melinda Passmore and Jeremy Ransom say the event continues to grow each year, drawing visitors from far beyond Norfolk County who are eager to experience something completely outside the traditional Christmas craft-show mold.
The name “Krampus” itself is often enough to hook first-time visitors who arrive curious, then stay impressed by the creativity, energy, and community atmosphere inside.
This year’s market comes with new features — including on-site Krampus-themed tattoo flash from Pure Pain Parlor, available for anyone brave enough to get inked on the spot.
Visitors will likely see multiple Krampus characters roaming the event as well, as enthusiasts from across Ontario travel to Simcoe for this fun show.
A photo booth will once again give families the chance to capture the “best Christmas card ever,” with Krampus posing for photos throughout the day.
Despite its spooky branding, the market remains welcoming to all ages and interests.
Many vendors offer healing, wellness, handmade art, jewelry, and personal craftwork not tied to witchcraft or Krampus at all — making it a strong destination for one-of-a-kind, meaningful holiday gifts.
The event has become a major tourism draw for the region, with most vendors and many attendees traveling from out of town.
They say the original goal was to create a space where makers could showcase their work affordably, without barriers or heavy vendor costs — something they’ve maintained by keeping admission free, vendor fees low, and the focus on community over profit.
The market will also feature live readings, guest storytellers, and new surprises meant to keep the event evolving every year.
