Norfolk County has announced several municipal service closures and schedule changes in observance of Remembrance Day.
All County administration buildings, museums, archives, and public libraries will be closed, though digital library services — including eBooks, audiobooks, and streaming media — remain available online.
Recreation facilities, including the Simcoe Recreation Centre, Delhi Friendship Centre, and all County arenas, will also be closed, with programming resuming Wednesday, November 12.
Ride Norfolk buses will operate on regular schedules and pause briefly at 11 a.m. for two minutes of silence.
Essential services such as fire, paramedics, and waste collection will continue without disruption, while the Provincial Offences Court in Simcoe and Social Services offices in Simcoe and Dunnville will be closed for the day.
Residents can report urgent issues related to roads, water, or waste through the County’s emergency service line at 1-877-298-5888, or submit non-urgent requests online through ServiceNorfolk.
