The Norfolk County Public Library is inviting residents to celebrate local writers, poets, and storytellers at the 2025 Norfolk Literary Prize Awards Ceremony, taking place tonight (Friday) at 7:00 p.m. at the Vittoria Community Centre.
The annual event shines a spotlight on Norfolk County’s vibrant literary community, recognizing creativity and imagination across all ages.
This year’s competition drew more than 100 entries, with submissions ranging from poetry to short stories — showcasing the diverse voices and perspectives found throughout the county.
Keynote speaker Jennifer Robson, an internationally acclaimed author of historical fiction, will headline the evening.
The program also includes presentations of awards in poetry and short story categories, along with the prestigious Laureate Award presented by Norfolk County Poet Laureate John B. Lee.
Guests will be treated to light refreshments and the chance to connect with fellow writers, readers, and community members following the ceremony.
