Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Norfolk County as strong winds sweep across the region today.
Gusts between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour are expected from this morning through early evening before diminishing tonight.
The winds, shifting from southwest to northwest later in the day, may cause downed branches, tossed debris, and localized power outages.
Residents are advised to secure outdoor items and monitor forecasts and alerts from Environment Canada throughout the day.
