The four Horticultural Societies of Norfolk—Delhi, Dover, Waterford, and Simcoe—will hold their annual joint meeting tonight (October 29), from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Junior Farmers Building on South Drive in Simcoe.
Guest speaker Adam Biddle, Supervisor of Forestry, Parks, Recreation & Culture with Community & Development Services, will present an easy-to-understand update on invasive trees and what they mean for Norfolk’s urban forests. Gardeners, homeowners, and community volunteers will learn how to spot problem species, protect local trees, and support healthier streetscapes.
The evening is open to everyone. Attendees can look forward to door prizes, plus light food and refreshments after the presentation. Organizers say the joint meeting is a great chance to connect with local garden enthusiasts, share tips for the fall season, and discover ways to get involved with society projects.
