Waterford District High School is once again welcoming the community for a night of fun, food, and fundraising at its annual Community Bingo Night, happening this Wednesday (October 22).
Now in its third year, the event has become a local favourite since starting in 2023. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with the Shaw’s Dogs & Spuds food truck serving up dinner before the games. Teacher and organizer Jennifer Thompson tells us more.
She added admission is $10 for a booklet of 10 games, while 50/50 tickets are $5 for one or $10 for three.
Thompson says more than $10,000 has already been reinvested into extracurricular programs.
Hosted by teacher Jason Mayo and supported by student volunteers, the event takes place in the school’s large gym, which is fully accessible and offers ample parking.
Participants don’t need to be bingo experts, Thompson just says come prepared to have fun.
Wednesday night head for Waterford for a family-friendly night that helps support local students.
