Haldimand OPP are investigating after witnesses reported seeing a young girl in distress near Concession 2 Walpole and Haldimand Road 55.
Police say two adults were seen with the child in a brown or beige Lincoln MKX that drove off toward Highway 6.
The girl is described as about eight years old, five feet tall, with blonde hair, wearing a white shirt and floral leggings.
Anyone with information is urged to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers immediately.
