A Norfolk County man is facing several charges after Oxford OPP officers stopped a vehicle during a general patrol in Tillsonburg.
On September 27, 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., officers on Broadway Road conducted a traffic stop and searched the vehicle. Police say the search led to the seizure of suspected cocaine and stolen property.
As a result, 48-year-old Zachary Shaw of Norfolk County has been charged with operation while impaired by drug, obstructing a peace officer, two counts of theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, possession of cocaine, driving while under suspension, and failing to surrender an insurance card.
A 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment were also issued. Shaw was held for a bail hearing before being released. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date.
Police urge the public to report impaired driving by calling 911.
