Norfolk County has made a big transaction, purchasing the former Health Unit building on Gilbertson Drive in Simcoe.
The property was purchased from Blue Egg Properties Inc. for $4.75 million.
The building adds to Norfolkâs facility inventory and is expected to provide long-term value for community and county operations.
Staff noted the Gilbertson Drive purchase represents a strategic investment in municipal infrastructure.
Other transactions were also noted in a recent memo to our elected officials.
Among the completed transactions, the county sold 197 Queen Street East in St. Williams for $91,000 and Lot 19, Kenneth Avenue in Port Dover for $100,000.
The former road allowance on King Street in Windham was sold to a neighbouring property owner for $9,856, while 113A Croton Avenue in Delhi was returned to The Plantation Ltd. under a reversion clause.
The Causeway Bridge property in Port Rowan was transferred to the county at no cost.
