Pet lovers in Norfolk County have a new destination for their furry, feathered, and even scaly friends.
The Global Pet Foods store has officially opened at White Horse Plaza, right beside Tim Hortons.
That was owner Cheryl Nelson.
She says her team wanted to bring something unique to the community—a Canadian-owned chain that focuses on safe, tested products and a boutique-style selection you won’t find at big box retailers.
The store carries food, treats, and supplies for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, and more, with a wide variety of raw food and specialty options.
Shoppers can also take advantage of rewards programs making high-quality products more affordable.
Nelson says the goal is to create more than just a store.
She is hoping to be a go to place for the pet owner community.
Partnerships with local organizations are already underway, including Perfect Companions cat adoptions, Canine College training, and Sato’s Saved Dog Rescue.
Pets are welcome to visit the store—as long as they’re leashed or carried—and a virtual Halloween pet costume contest is planned for October.
