Norfolk County Council approved a move that will see the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board transfer historic school records into the Norfolk County Archives.
The move would make decades of educational history more accessible to the public while ensuring proper long-term preservation.
Councillor Tom Masschaele spoke on the matter.
Volunteers with the Friends of the Educational Archives have pledged to help catalogue and digitize the collection and contribute $1,000 annually for related costs.
Masschaele thanked the group for their commitment.
