Simcoe Strong is calling on the community to come together for a grassroots downtown cleanup this Saturday (Sept 13), from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Organizer Josh Parson says the group will meet by the flagpole at the County Administrative Building before rolling up their sleeves to pick up litter and pull weeds.
“This isn’t funded or sponsored,” Parson explained on the group’s Facebook page. “It’s just neighbours who care about where we live.”
The team is asking for simple supplies—garbage bags, gloves, brooms, and trash pickers—as well as help figuring out what to do with the collected waste.
Anyone is welcome to join in. Bring some energy, a few friends, and maybe some weeding gear if you’ve got it. Together, the group hopes to show what’s possible when Simcoe pulls together.
