Premier Doug Ford says he’ll bring forward new legislation this fall in honour of Andrew Cristillo, a father of three killed in a crash involving an alleged dangerous driver.
Ford met with Cristillo’s family Friday and pledged to support “Andrew’s Law,” which includes lifetime driving bans for the most serious offences.
The proposal also calls for accused drivers to lose their licences until trial.
Transportation officials say they will work with the family to expand existing laws to cover dangerous driving.
