After the overwhelming success of the first ZumbaThon for Hope held earlier this year at the Norfolk Soccer Clubhouse in Delhi, organizers are bringing the high-energy fundraiser back for another round.
That was Lisa Engelhardt Robinson, who is helping with the event.
ZumbaThon for Hope 2.0 will take place on Sunday, September 7, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.
This time it will take place at Final Touch Women’s Fitness with doors opening at 12:30 p.m.
The event promises an afternoon of fun and fitness as participants follow the lead of certified instructor Claudine Grant and a team of instructors from Norfolk and Oxford Counties.
That being said, anyone and everyone is welcome to come whether you want a full two hours or just pop in and out when you feel like it.
For just $25, community members can enjoy a lively Zumba workout while supporting the Tumaini Children’s Foundation, which works to empower orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania by providing not only food, shelter, education, and health care, but also the tools they need to build independence and long-term success.
Founded in 2009 by the late Cherie Tiffin-Szucs of Simcoe, Tumaini Children’s Foundation has grown into a lifeline for children in Usa River, Tanzania.
In addition to caring for children at the Tumaini home, the foundation also helps many others remain with their families by providing access to school, food, and medical care.
Advance tickets can be purchased by e-transfer to donate@tumainimeanshope.org.
Tickets will also be available at the door. Organizers encourage everyone, regardless of fitness level, to take part, reminding the community that Zumba® is designed to be fun and accessible for all.
