A Norfolk County resident has lost thousands of dollars to a grandparent scam.
Police say the victim received a call from someone posing as a family member needing bail money.
They sent $6,000, and were later asked for another $5,000 before realizing it was a fraud.
The Norfolk OPP are reminding residents to be cautious and verify calls before sending money.
