Norfolk County wants to hear from residents as it plans the 2026 municipal budget. Locals are invited to share their opinions on important services like roads, parks, housing, and emergency response.
The County prepares three budgets each year: the Tax Budget for daily services, the Capital Budget for big projects, and the Water and Wastewater Budget to support clean water systems.
Residents can get involved online by completing a short survey, submitting ideas, or trying the new Budget Challenge. Participants have a chance to win one of three $50 gift cards.
Feedback received by September 30 will be part of a Council report on October 16. Later comments will still be reviewed before the final budget is set in January 2026.
In-person feedback is welcome at the Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival on August 2 and 3. Printed surveys are also available at libraries, rec centres, and ServiceNorfolk offices.
