A Norfolk County man is facing charges after police responded to a reported break and enter at a residence on Blueline Road.
Just after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, Norfolk County OPP, assisted by the West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, responded to the scene. Officers allege an individual, who was prohibited from being on the property, had unlawfully entered the home.
While the suspect was not located during the initial response, police found and arrested the individual near the residence the following morning without incident.
As a result, a 63-year-old Norfolk County man was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. He remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe today (July 28).
Blueline Road, which was closed during the investigation, has since reopened. Police confirmed there was no threat to public safety.
