Gazebo in Lynnwood Park
A fresh wave of Shakespearian wit is set to wash over the picturesque Historical Gazebo on the Lynn River at Argyle Street.
We spoke with Joy Allgood, who spearheaded “Shakespeare at the Gazebo” three years ago and has helped organize it since.
If you didn’t catch it in previous years, she explains how it works.
Four experiences actors put on the unique play.
Allgood says, like other years, she will be just as excited and surprised to see the show as the rest of the audience as the actors keep the script close to the vest.
The show promises an accessible and entertaining experience for all ages.
Allgood says the atmosphere ties it all together.
Bring your lawn chair or blanket and expect to be transported to another world.
It is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
It’s a free show, but a donation box will be available to support the actors who travel a long way to deliver this comedic performance.
This community event is proudly presented by myFM 98.9, Lions Club Simcoe, Downtown Simcoe, and Joy Bakery Café.
