Budding authors and poets – time is running out for the Norfolk Literary Prize.
That was Belinda Smith with the Norfolk County Public Library, who is putting on the annual writing contest, with a deadline of July 31st.
They are looking for submissions of short stories, up to 3000 words, and poems.
There are three different age groups as well.
While submissions were open earlier this year, Smith realizes life can get in the way.
If you are hearing this for the first time, and you have something you wrote a while ago you want to polish up, you can.
But Smith does hope people will lean in and get the creative juices flowing.
This event has been going on for a few years now, and Smith says it is started to gain traction and build a community.
