West Haldimand General Hospital in Hagersville is the first in the region to pilot EmergConnect, a digital triage tool for emergency patients.
Visitors to the Emergency Department can now check in using a smartphone or hospital tablet to report symptoms and severity.
The information goes directly to care teams, allowing for quicker and more accurate triage.
Officials say the tool improves efficiency and patient care while maintaining privacy and clinical oversight.
