My Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), parent company of 98.9 myFM and Oldies 99.7 is pleased to announce the sale of CKOT-FM and CJDL-FM in Tillsonburg has been approved by the CRTC.
With just a few more details to work out, it shouldn’t be long until the stations are run by MBC.
President Jon Pole says both signals will help solidify the local content here, and at our sister station in St. Thomas.
Pole adds that the Tillsonburg stations are a perfect fit for MBC.
The news was a long time coming too. The purchase agreement was first announced last November.
Now that the wait is over (or just about), Pole says all involved are eager for the next steps, and eventual launch of the new Tillsonburg stations and another in Smiths Falls which received approval at the same time.
