A collaborative investigation between the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Six Nations Police Service has led to the seizure of over 25,000 kilograms of contraband tobacco and 15 firearms from an illegal manufacturing facility on Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.
Dubbed Project PANDA, the operation targeted a non-Indigenous criminal network operating within the territory.
On May 7, search warrants executed in Ancaster, Brantford, and Six Nations resulted in the confiscation of contraband tobacco valued at approximately $6.29 million, over 1,360 pounds of illegal cannabis worth around $3 million, 3.16 kilograms of psilocybin, and multiple skids of tobacco packaging materials.
The investigation remains ongoing, with no arrests announced at this time.
