A local librarian is celebrating a life-changing win after saying “yes” to ENCORE on her lottery ticket.
Carly Majik of Port Dover matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order during the March 27 DAILY GRAND draw, netting her a $100,000 prize.
Carly has been playing OLG lottery games for about seven months, regularly purchasing tickets online through her OLG.ca account.
The winning ticket was no different—Carly used meaningful family birthdays and anniversaries to pick her numbers, and the win came as a surprise via email.
“I was at home when I got the email. I was tired after a restless sleep and was unsure of its authenticity, so I hesitated to open it,” Carly said while claiming her prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “Later that day, when I was fully awake, I reviewed the email again and a sense of relief washed over me. I shared the news with my parents and in-laws. They were so excited for me.”
The win is a dream come true for Carly, who says it’s already had a huge impact on her life.
“I never imagined I’d be debt-free. Winning this prize feels miraculous,” she said.
Carly plans to use the money to pay off bills, buy a backyard shed, and invest in her daughter’s future.
The lucky ticket was purchased online at OLG.ca.
