Garry Tanchak is running for the New Blue Party in Haldimand-Norfolk. Born and raised in Simcoe’s Renton area, he now lives in Vanessa. With over 40 years as a power engineer in the oil, gas, and electricity industries, he brings experience and deep local roots to his campaign.
Tanchak understands, that many voters may not have heard of the New Blue Party.
Tanchak is focused on three key issues for the election: healthcare, tax relief, and education reform.
The New Blue party believes Doug Ford’s government’s COVID-19 policies overreached and that they were disproportionate to what was going on. Tanchak wants to address doctor shortages and rehire healthcare workers let go during the pandemic.
The New Blue party also wants to make it easier for international doctors to work in Canada.
Tanchak supports lowering taxes to assist with the cost of living in Ontario. He would support keeping Ontario’s gas tax at 9%, and reducing HST to help families with rising costs.
In education, Tanchak calls for reform, highlighting a need for school board accountability. Tanchak used the recent spending scandal of the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board as an example of poor accountability. He also supports a Parent’s Bill of Rights to give parents more say in classrooms.
Tanchak is concerned about the Empire Homes development in Nanticoke, saying industrial land should stay industrial. He supports new power generation projects instead.
He finished with this message.
Tanchak encourages everyone to get out and vote and to choose New Blue for accountability and common sense leadership.
