It’s only fitting that a town known for its connection to pumpkins would host a major event centered around seeds.
The Waterford Seedy Saturday is just around the corner, and we had the chance to speak with Jennifer Thompson, a teacher at Waterford High School, about the event they are excited to organize.
When you step through the doors on February 8th, you’ll immediately see how much this event has grown over the years.
For those new to gardening, it might come as a surprise just how expensive it can be to get started.
The goal of this event is to help reduce those costs and provide an accessible pathway for anyone dreaming of cultivating their ideal garden—without breaking the bank.
According to Thompson, the event is designed to welcome everyone: from seasoned gardening experts to total beginners, and even those who are just curious about growing their own plants.
No seeds to trade? No problem. A small donation is all you need to participate.
Additionally, the event will feature workshops and guest speakers, offering attendees valuable tips and insights to inspire their gardening journey.
