Victim Services Haldimand Norfolk New Credit (VSHNNC) has received a $100,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) grant to enhance community support. Local MPP Bobbi Ann Brady joined the organization on Tuesday to celebrate the funding, which will drive a four-year strategic plan, improve cybersecurity, and expand services.
“Technology evolves quickly, and this grant ensures VSHNNC stays ahead,” said Brady. “It’s about safeguarding privacy and empowering victims on their recovery journey.”
The strategic plan focuses on adapting to future challenges and ensuring long-term service sustainability. Upgraded cybersecurity will protect sensitive information and provide secure access for clients.
Sheri MacDonald, Executive Director, emphasized, “This grant equips us to address service gaps and lead in victim care innovation.” Board Chair Blake Eady added, “It strengthens our operations and expands support for the vulnerable.”
For over 30 years, VSHNNC has provided free, confidential aid to those facing crime or crisis. Learn more at www.victimserviceshn.com or call 1-800-264-6671.
