The 3rd Annual Witches’ Yuletide Market comes to Simcoe this Saturday, offering up unique items outside the traditional Christmas craft norm—and they are bringing a special guest in as well.

We spoke to Melinda Passmore and Jeremy Ransom, owners of Melinda’s Enchanted Cottage in Simcoe, who are hosting the event alongside Cierra Wilson, the event planner.
While he was not well-known in North America, over the past few years the name has continued to grow, and more and more people are recognizing the character.
While he is told in stories to help encourage kids to “be good,” he isn’t going to be there to bring fright on Saturday.
The event takes place at the Junior Farmers’ Building in Simcoe.
After the pandemic, the Order of the Grand Tradition was started.
This is described as a “non-coven coven of witches,” and one of the first things they wanted to do was bring back markets—which clearly was the right move.
When you walk through, you’ll see some familiar Christmas items mixed in with some unique things.
They stress this is an event for anyone and everyone, whether or not this is “your cup of tea” or you just want to see what it’s all about.
The first 25 people in will receive a gift bag with lots of swag from the vendors.
