A tragic two-vehicle collision on Highway 54 in Caledonia has left a 22-year-old driver dead. The crash occurred yesterday (Thurs Oct 10), at around 7:50 a.m. Emergency crews, including the OPP, Haldimand County Fire, and Paramedic Services, responded to the scene.
The investigation confirmed that two vehicles were involved, and the young driver from Caledonia was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The road between McClung Road and Abbey Road remains closed as the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team assists with the investigation.
