The Run for the Cure can trace its roots back to a dedicated group of volunteers who organized the first event in 1992 in Toronto.
Today, the CIBC Run for the Cure raises funds for the breast cancer cause across the country with our local Simcoe event taking place this weekend.
That was Local organizer Gail Catherwood.
She talked to us about the success of the Simcoe event over the years.

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., the opening ceremonies are at 9:45 and both walks begin at 10 a.m. at Lion’s Park, 75 Davis St. East.
