Robinson Administration Building
The first day of October marks a significant step forward for the Norfolk Family Health Team as they officially move to their new location at the Robinson Administration Building in Simcoe.
We spoke with Robin Mackie, the Capital Expansion Lead, and Bill Thorogood, the lead physician with the Norfolk Family Health Team, about the move.
They also understand that many people do not have access to a vehicle or can’t afford gas, so having a central location—close to the hospital—was ideal.
The move was also advantageous for the doctors on staff, as many of them also work with the hospital.
This expansion is also beneficial because it allows them to continue to grow.
When talking to Dr. Thorogood, he emphasized the importance of the extra space and what it means for the future.
That teaching has already proven to be beneficial as well.
Circling back to Mackie, one thing she wanted to make clear is that they aren’t leaving anything behind in their path forward.
The ribbon-cutting will be on October 1st, though it will be a private event.
Several open house events for the community to attend are planned for the following weeks.
