
Police are investigating a deadly crash in Waterford that claimed the life of a young motorcyclist. The incident happened around 6:50 a.m. on Friday, September 13th, on Thompson Road East. Officers from the Norfolk OPP, along with Norfolk County Fire Department and Paramedic Services, responded to the scene.
The collision involved a motorcycle and an SUV. Sadly, a 23-year-old man from Oxford County, riding the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Thompson Road East, between Duncombe Road and Cockshutt Road, is expected to remain closed for several hours as police continue their investigation.
