The Birdtown Jamboree, formerly known to many as Cornstock, is celebrating their 20th anniversary this weekend.
Volunteer Sara Moody Veldhuis says if you’ve never been, you will see back to back local musical acts putting it all out there.
There is a cost to get into the festival, unless you are under 12, but that’s for a good reason.
Bands play for free, volunteers are walking around, all keeping the cost down to make sure the money goes to the right place.
Veldhuis has seen this first hand as well.
When she isn’t volunteering and helping out with local events, she is the head of Music and Visual Arts at Valley Heights and has seen what this funding has done for her school and has heard some amazing stories from other teachers around Norfolk.
There will also be a silent auction, a musical instrument art auction, and a tie dying station.
Ticket information can be found here.
