Norfolk County councillors were served papers at the beginning of council yesterday (Tuesday).
On the legal document, which was forwarded to the station, it notes of an upcoming date in August with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
The virtual meeting will have Warren Cummings, representing himself and the residents of Norfolk, on one side and the county on the other.
The application asks for several documents to be released and that the court review the conduct of council and take appropriate actions.
It says this could be up to and including removal from office.
Cummings had created an online group on Facebook where residents vented their frustrations with council, specifically the proposed growth and development in Waterford being one of the main talking points.
